Tulum Ruins + All Inclusive Xel Ha Adventure Park Riviera Maya Includes:

Departures: Departs daily between 7am and 9am from most Cancun, Playa Del Carmen & Riviera Maya hotels. Exact meeting instructions will be provided on your confirmation voucher.

Length: 10.5 hours approximately including transportation. Cancun hotels being furthest to the North will have the earliest pickup and the latest drop off times. Xel Ha Park closes at 6pm daily.

Tulum Ruins + All Inclusive Xel Ha Adventure Park Riviera Maya Recommendations:

• Light layers & comfortable walking shoes for your visit to Tulum and a change of clothes for the ride home after
• If you wish to bring a video camera to the ruins, you will be charged a $3.50 US tax, regular cameras are free of charge so long as not bringing in professional equipment
• Secure bathing suit to participate in the variety of water activities at Xel Ha
• Water shoes if you have them for getting around Xel Ha if you do not wish to be barefoot
• Camera (waterproof if you have it, or a waterproof smart phone case)
• Biodegradable sunblock or UV protective clothing (No other sunblock will be permitted for the protection of the delicate environment, and they will check your bags. If you forget, you can purchase at the front gate)
• Eco friendly insect repellent (only for after all the swimming activities)
• Picture ID, room key, or $20 deposit (REQUIRED) for locker rentals
• Extra cash or credit card for souvenirs, tips, professional photos, and any optional activities available at Xel Ha (there are ATMs available on site)

Children: All ages welcome. Kids under 5 are free! Kids ages 5-11 pay discounted kids pricing. Please note, children over 4’5” (137cm) who are under 12 years old will be required to present ID proving their age.

Cruise Ship Passengers: You can visit Xel Ha, but there are so many things to explore at Xel Ha, we do not suggest it If you are in a rush to make it back to your ship. Honestly, there is too much to do at Xel Ha itself to fit into a one-day shore excursion. So, we suggest you book your next vacation to one of the amazing Riviera Maya resorts so you can maximize your Xel Ha experience.

Restrictions: Access to the park is available to all and Xel Ha offers services for guests with disabilities throughout the park. Foldable wheelchairs are admitted on the transportation so long as we are advised in advance and you are traveling with a companion. Keep in mind however that many of the optional activities require good physical health and mobility. The park is very vast and there is a lot to explore even if you do not participate in everything however.

Insider Tip: The Tulum Mayan Ruins archaeological site is just a short drive from Xel Ha. That is what makes this combo the perfect way to check off two great adventures off your bucket list in one day. If you combine the educational trip to the Mayan Ruins along with a trip to Xel Ha, your kids will love you for it!! Be aware, you will be running around all over in a bathing suit all day, and activities like the water slides can take a toll. So to save yourself from embarrassment (as we found out the hard way), make sure you choose your most secure swimming gear. This is a family friendly destination, not the time to show off your skimpiest bikini.
