Los Arcos is a small set of islands off the coast of Mismaloya about 40 minute boat ride south of Puerto Vallarta. Aptly named for the 3 different arches that you can actually snorkel through, Los Arcos National Park is home to an extremely bio-diverse ecosystem both above and below the surface of the ocean. Thus why Los Arcos Islands are a protected breeding ground for some rare species of birds and also a protected marine park. You will find shallow reef, caves and deep shelves which shelter a huge variety of colorful tropical fish, sea turtles, rays, eels, octopus, lobster and more!
Our second snorkeling spot is just 10 more minutes to the south, Mahajuitas cove. Unlike Los Arcos which is visited by nearly every boat in Banderas Bay, you will rarely run into another group of snorkelers in this spectacularly secluded little cove off of Majahuitas beach. The rocky inlets, coves and shallow reef make snorkeling Majahuitas one of our favorite sites in Banderas Bay. The variety of marine life you can find in Majahuitas is remarkable. Keep your eyes peeled for sea cucumbers, colorful parrot fish, trumpet fish, stunning garden eels, eagle rays and even giant manta rays during their migration. Majahuitas & Los Arcos Snorkeling Tour Includes:
Departures: 9:00am and 12:30pm Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from our Puerto Vallarta dive shop in Marina Vallarta. Meeting time is 30 minutes prior to departure. Pick up from the Paradise Village Marina in Nuevo Vallarta at 8:00am is available for an additional fee of 50 pesos per person one way with a minimum of 4 clients.

Majahuitas & Los Arcos Snorkeling Tour Recommendations:
Children: Minimum age is 5 years old. Children must have prior swimming experience and be accompanied by an adult with a 1:1 ratio. Children ages 5 to 12 receive a discounted rate.
Cruise Ship Passengers: With departures both in the morning and afternoon, this is the perfect snorkeling excursion in Puerto Vallarta for cruise passengers as it fits with most all itineraries.
Restrictions: All participants must have prior swimming experience and be comfortable swimming in the ocean.
