Discover the rich culture and beauty of some of the gems of Jalisco on this Puerto Vallarta to Guadalajara tour. Over the course of 2 days, you’ll see the enchanting world-famous city of Guadalajara, the renowned Tequila, Jalisco, a quaint little Mexican artisan town called Tonala, and the charming little Jalisco village of Tlaquepaque.
During day one, you’ll begin your adventure in Chapalilla where you’ll enjoy a delicious breakfast and handmade tortillas. Next you’ll travel to Tequila where you’ll get the real deal tour of the birthplace of the world famous (or infamous) beverage. Visit the agave fields, explore a distillery and taste a variety of tequilas on a complete tequila tour. Then, you’ll head into the city center to explore the astounding architecture and colorful city plaza.
Next, you’ll be on your way to the state’s capital, Guadalajara. Upon arriving, you’ll enjoy a quick tour of the city’s center and colonial architecture, gardens and structures that extend through multiple periods in the history of the city. You’ll finish your day at Hotel Cervantes, located in the city center, and enjoy the rest of the evening to yourself.
During day two, you’ll enjoy brunch at your hotel before setting off towards a shopper’s delight: the small artisan town of Tonala. You’re sure to find a unique piece for yourself as you explore beautiful handicrafts and artisanal products. Next, you’ll head to Tlaquepaque, a widely-recognized artistic cultural spot on the outskirts of Guadalajara. Browse through art galleries, unique jewelry shops, and beautiful textile and leather stands. Once you’re through Tlaquepaque, it’ll be on the road again back to beautiful Puerto Vallarta.
