YOUR MAZATLAN ADVENTURE IS JUST A CLICK AWAY
An hour north of Mazatlan, in the Meseta de Cacaxtle Nature Reserve, is where you'll find the Las Labradas Petroglyphs. Right here on a 1200 foot stretch of beach, about 640 incredible carved rocks can be found. It holds the distinction of being the oldest archaeological site in Sinaloa, and these petroglyphs are some of the oldest pre-Columbian art in Northwest Mexico. This place is really special!
This inspiring ecological immersion is a highlight among Mazatlan tours. It is believed that these petroglyphs were carved by spiritual leaders, and were likely used as a method of communing with gods. The pristine beach on which they sit, adds another level of mystery and beauty. Your bilingual and incredibly knowledgeable guide will tell you all about it.
The Meseta de Cacaxtle is 125,000 picture-perfect acres of Mother Nature at her most fabulous. Out of this world bird watching... literally hundreds of types of birds... reptiles, deer, wild boar, jaguar... they're all here on one of the most incredible Mazatlan excursions you'll find anywhere.
Even lunchtime is a unique experience! A traditional meal prepared by a local family, gives a chance for meaningful cultural connection. They love to sit down with you and talk. Support locals, and they support you right back! It's sustainable tourism from a different, though incredibly relevant, perspective.
Because this is such an immersive (and exclusive) experience, please note that this eco reserve Mazatlan tour has a minimum number of people! When you make your reservation, if the minimum has yet to be reached, your spot will be held. When the minimum is reached, your spot will then be confirmed. If the minimum is never reached, you will be offered a chance to upgrade to a private tour, or cancel altogether.
Pre-Columbian history, incredible scenery, nature at its finest, and a real cultural experience too. This Mazatlan Eco Tour from our friends at Onca Explorations really is one of the most sustainable and important things to do in Mazatlan. You'll be so happy you had this adventure!
