Your Cozumel Mini-Sub Adventure will start with a quick safety demonstration, and then, you'll be let loose to explore! Don't worry about breathing when you're underwater. Your Cozumel mini sub has a helmet so you can breathe, no matter how deep you travel. It's like something out of the future, but you can do it now!
So, what's riding a Cozumel underwater scooter like? It's similar to a moped or a Jet-Ski, except for the underwater part. While your moped would die if you tried to take it underwater, your mini sub is ready to ride! This responsive little scooter lets you twist, turn, and explore coral reefs, beautiful tropical fish, and more. This is your chance to experience life under the sea without having to take diving classes.
Think your trip is over when you come back to the surface? Not even close. You're at a beach club, so you might as well have some fun in the sun! You've seen what's under the water. Now, enjoy life above the surface, where you can relax on the beach and catch some rays. Bring some extra cash, so you can hit up the beach bar for drinks and lunch.

Cozumel Mini Sub & Beach Break Details
Mini Sub Shore Excursion Includes:
- Briefing with bilingual PADI-certified experts
- Detailed safety instructions prior to the tour

Departures: Monday-Saturday every hour from 8:30am to 2:30pm in the Hotel Cozumel & Resort (Downtown Cozumel).
Length: Although the Mini-Sub experience lasts approximately 1 hour, you're welcome to stay all day and use the beach club facilities.
Mini-Sub Adventure Recommendations:
- Swimsuit & towel
- Light clothes & sunglasses
- Bio-degradable sunblock (for beach use only) or UV protective clothing*
- Cash and/or credit card for gratuities, additional services at the Hotel Cozumel & Resort (swimming pool, lunch & beverages) & souvenirs
Children: Must be over 4 feet and at least 12 years old to participate.
Cruise Ship Passengers: This is a great activity for cruise passengers. Our flexible schedules fit most cruise itineraries; furthermore, you're welcome to enjoy the Chankanaab Park facilities before or after the sea lion interaction (however be mindful of your schedules as you're needed at the dolphin center for your check-in 30 minutes prior to the program)!
Restrictions: For safety reasons guests with claustrophobia, expecting mothers, guests who have had recent surgery within 6 months, or with previous back or neck injuries, asthma, epilepsy, diabetes, mobility issues, or heart & lung medical conditions are not allowed on this program.
Participants must be in good physical condition and weigh no more than 300 lbs.
The maximum age is 65 years old.
Insider Tip: The beach club opens at 8:00am. You can use your day pass before your immersion as well! No need to wait around for the program to start.
Groups: This activity can accommodate no more than 6 people at a time. If your group is larger, you will have to take turns.
IMPORTANT!! Help save the reefs! Due to the White Band Disease that has recently been observed in Cozumel's coral systems, we no longer recommend sunscreen. If using, please make sure that it's bio-degradable and apply at least 30 minutes before entering the ocean.
